How the ISS tracker works

SpaceTrack uses the latest stored public orbital elements for ISS and propagates the orbit to the current time. The map position is an estimate intended for observation planning and general awareness.

Can I see the ISS tonight?

Use the Over Me page with your location. Dark or twilight passes with high elevation are the best targets.

How accurate is the ISS tracker?

Positions are calculated from public orbital data. Fresh TLE records give better short-term estimates.

Do I need a telescope to see the ISS?

No. A good ISS pass looks like a bright moving point and can be seen without a telescope.
