How pass prediction works

SpaceTrack compares your observer coordinates with propagated satellite positions over the selected time window, then reports passes that rise above your minimum elevation.

Why does SpaceTrack need my location?

Pass times depend on latitude and longitude. You can allow browser geolocation or enter coordinates manually.

Which passes are easiest to see?

High-elevation dark or twilight passes are usually easiest because the satellite is above local obstructions and still sunlit.

Are pass predictions exact?

No. Predictions are estimates based on orbital data, observer coordinates and current calculation time.
